Historical Disputes and Evolution:

Established in 1963 by Paul Tomaselli and his mother, La Voile Rouge quickly became a hotspot for partygoers in the 1960s and 1970s. However, in the mid-2000s, the establishment faced legal and administrative disputes.

In 2000, the municipality of Ramatuelle decided to restore the beach area occupied by La Voile Rouge to its natural state, citing noise disturbances and violations of labor and urban planning laws. This led to judicial proceedings with suspensions, cancellations, and rejected applications.

In 2005, following Paul Tomaselli's death, his brother Ange Tomaselli took over the establishment and continued its operation despite the absence of a sub-concession from the municipality of Ramatuelle.

Finally, in 2011, the administrative court of Toulon ordered the demolition of La Voile Rouge's illegal structures. Despite subsequent attempts to install removable structures, the establishment was definitively closed and dismantled in 2012.

These events marked the end of an era for La Voile Rouge, leaving behind a mythical legacy and a significant place in the history of summer festivities on the French Riviera.

Today, La Voile Rouge remains etched in memories as an iconic place where elegance, celebration, and a sophisticated ambiance converged to create unforgettable moments.
